Maison Margiela

MMM

Belgian-born Martin Margiela launched his namesake label in 1988. Throughout his career Margiela opted for anonymity, seldom making public appearances and consistently refusing to grant interviews. In 2009, the ever-elusive designer quietly left the fashion house, following which the line was helmed by its Paris-based design team until the appointment of John Galliano as creative director in 2014. In addition to haute couture, accessories, and ready-to-wear, the house produces a selection of small leather goods, fragrances, and design objects. Famed for its enigmatic approach and avant-garde aesthetic, Maison Margiela continues to push the envelope of modern design.
